Dear Cal Alum Members and Friends,

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in the Orange County Cal Alumni Club!

First and foremost, I would like to recognize and thank the previous board for their amazing leadership.  The immediate past president, Atish Bagrodia, Morgan Gilman (VP Marketing), Javaid Ansari (Treasurer), Nona Djavid (VP Events), and Scott Carpenter (VP Outreach and Scholarships).  We definitely would not be where we are today if not for their efforts.

I am honored and ecstatic to be the new President of the OCCAC.  It is my pleasure to be part of the new, very talented board. Together we will build a remarkable and prosperous future.  Thank you to the following new board members for their passionate commitment and dedication to our club:

We’ve established the Orange County Cal Alumni Club’s first mission statement and will use it as the foundation to building a bigger and stronger club. Our main focus is to encourage more involvement from our members by continuing to make our events and activities fun and interesting.  We want to have a diversity of events to cater to all interests. If there is an activity you would like to see in the club, please email me (merricknguyen@gmail.com) your suggestions.  The board and I would love to personally meet all of you and encourage you all to come out and enjoy our events. Together we can build a thriving Cal community.

Our webmasters, Chris and Eugene, will consistently keep it up-to-date so that you don’t miss out on any fun-filled events.  Elizabeth and Melissa will take the lead in communicating news, events, and special updates to everyone through Facebook, Linkedin, and Meetup.com.  

I am proud to lead the OC Cal Alumni Club and will continue to make us one of the top Cal Alumni clubs across the nation.  Talk to you soon…
