Atish Bagrodia, President - Atish Bagrodia (’00) came to Cal in 1996 as a foreign student from India. He graduated from Cal with a BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and a Minor in Business. He works as a research analyst at and trader at a wealth management firm based in Irvine. Atish spends his after work hours reading up on sundry topics, particularly on economics and geopolitics. He is a member of local cultural and music groups where he subjects helpless captive audiences with his performances in music and poetry.
Jason Sherr, Immediate Past President - Jason Sherr ('92) served as President from 2001-2009. He is currently VP-Finance for the CAL Alumni Association. Jason also received an Excellence in Service Award from the CAL Alumni Association in 2009. In his professional life, Jason is a VP-Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney (which has nothing to do with his major at Cal - Architecture). He started in the industry in 1992 and has been with his current firm since 1997. Jason is an active member of his community and coaches baseball at Corona Del Mar High School. He also chairs the Distinguished Speaker Lecture Series at the Newport Beach Public Library. When not in the office, he enjoys sports, reading, and spending time with friends. A Southern California native, Jason now makes his home in Newport Beach with his wife, Donna, and their daughter, Savannah.
Javaid Ansari, Treasurer - Javaid Ansari (’05) graduated from the undergraduate Hass School of Business at UC Berkeley. While at Cal he was involved with the Mortar Board Honors Society and the local Stiles Hall Community Center and YWCA both located on Bancroft. He is currently an Executive Vice President for Compak Asset Management, a registered investment advisory firm in Irvine, CA, and also the founder of Compak Alternative Investments, a commodity trading advisor firm. Javaid frequently travels up to Berkeley to attend football games and is actively involved with fundraising efforts for the school. His hobbies include recreational soccer and a deep passion for golf.
Morgan Gilman, VP Marketing/PR - Morgan Gilman (’06) is a first-generation UC Berkeley graduate with a background in wild and magnanimous adventurism. She is a Laguna Beach, CA, native and has spent a sum of roughly 5 years traveling the world but is still super stoked to be in OC because she can ride her Harley and play soccer all year long. Morgan chose Cal because of its enthusiasm in making the world a better, if not more interesting place, one tree-dweller at a time. Her majors were Political Science and Mass Communications. Today, she works in Marketing and Public Relations and hopes it will somehow help her to fill her passport completely before it expires in 2012.
Nona Djavid, VP Events - Nona Djavid (’03) is a chiropractic physician and wellness coach with a private practice in Newport Beach, CA. Founder and head chiropractor at the Wellness Choice Center, Dr. Djavid is dedicated to the creation of transformative experiences of vitality for her patients, through spinal rehabilitation and core strengthening, nutritional counseling, lifestyle changes and natural alternatives towards optimal health. Dr. Djavid is also the founder of WOW – Women of Wellness group – an organization that empowers female health care professionals to build inspirational caring relationships with patients with integrated and wellness services. Her major at Cal was MCB.
